House of Stoo

Based on a self portrait
It has come to my attention lately that a lot of female bloggers use sexy cartoons in their layouts when they in fact do not look anything like those cartoons (I've done some research and it's usually quite the contrary). That's fine, I like sexy cartoons, some of them are fucking hot as hell. Anyway, I have never put a sexy cartoon on my blog or in my layout, nor am I HTML talented enough to do so. But I have had some cartoons drawn of me by some extremely cool and talented individuals...and yes, these cartoons reflect what I look like. Check my Flickr if you don't beleive me, I'm a real girl who was once an ugly duckling.
Enjoy and please check the links for more of their art.

Officer-there are plenty of whackos here in the desert...just depends on which one is sitting next to you.

Juhnny-yay (doing the happy dance)

Chris-I know a certain two people who happen to have painted 2 pink Minis that can give you advise if you take the pplunge into the pink (that sounded dirty)

Tina-when are you getting naked for me?

travel-what do you mean by still posed? Like stiff? Naaaaa....I think I'm a pretty strong photographer and I love seeing peoles renditions of me or my work. Thanks

You are so right about the toons. It makes perfect sense though (even if it does piss me off). Guys automatically relate the pic with the blogger - they keep coming back - the girl has her ruse justified - the cycle continues.
Maybe I should start a service selling guys sexy toons that look completely different than they do in real life. Are girls just as gullible?

MR.A-
I could have written a whole blog about it but this was more or less an experament to see if I would start winning the blog battles...and you know what...IT WORKED! I have been winning almost every battle since I posted the pics. I thought about writing the whole blog about people who are insecure and hiding behind things that are not them but I didn't want to make anyone mad, even if it is the truth. I keep looking at these girls profiles and a lot of them don't even have pictures of themselves anywhere. Usually it's just their kids and usually they're married but still craving the attention. I don't have a problem with the layouts, some are quite shnazzy but come on, people need to quit hiding behind their computers and fake fecades. There's nothing wrong with showing who you really are, in fact if they were comfortable with who they are it might shock and amaze them that people might still like them. I guess a quick fix is needed by using these layouts, but honestly the people who are dragged in by them are not people who are real friends. I've met some cool people on the internet (boyfriend included) and they were pulled in by me, not false advertisement. I was a true ugly duckling so maybe I have more of an appreciation for showing my inner self...who knows.
anyway, that's my ramble for now. At some point I'll revamp and post my ugly duckling story here at my blog. I was not attractive and insecure so I understand where all this stems from, one day people need to wake up and realize if they're attractive on the inside it will reflect outword.

Ah, now that would be an interesting blog. The "see me for who I am and not what I look like while I post a provocative cartoon of who I would like to be" - an introspection of the MommyBlog.

I would not touch that one with a ten foot pole, I would rather publish some religious cartoons resulting in continuous death threats than take on 50% of the US population!

Travel-You had to say MommyBlog didn't you? I was trying to me nice :P
It would be an interesting day when everyone on the internet decided to be themselves...Maybe that will be tomorrow since it's 6-6-06 because I'm sure the worl would explode.

Hahaaa, I hate the sexy cartoons too. I have a mischievous photo of myself in my blog template instead. 100% genuine article! ;)

Thanks for the good battle and for stopping by my site. If you need some help putting an image in your header, I'm happy to offer some assistance.

BTW: Mini's rule. I'd love to have an old one :)

Sweet Jesus, lady, you are SO right. They usually live in Ohio, and have nothing - but nothing - to say. There is a direct correlation between level of over-design and quality of words and that in the blogs. No hang on, these women do have something to say. They have things to say about going to Wal-Mart, their strange bloated children, and how some bird they were at 'high school' with has, like, really pissed them off, you know? And, like, they're not going to talk to them, like, anymore?

I laugh until my heart runs dry at the ones that look soopa-foxxxxy in their 'illustrations' BUT ALSO have a REAL picture, and in their REAL picture they look like an over-boiled potato wearing a rejected toupee with a pink Smartie where their mouth should be.

Oh yes.

Johnny-you make me giggle. Other people made them for me. Usually done in
photoshop. I don't know how to do the technique but I think it involves a
lot of patience.

Nuk-Amen to that!

Jason-I may have to take you up on that offer. I want to at least create a
banner to go on the top. The creating I can do..getting it up there is
another issue.

DatingMonkey-ahhh so true...so true...I think we'll get along just fine.

Jade-Eek! cold showers...ahhhhhhh! :P
